7 RUNNERS FOR LOGAN RACING SINGAPORE ON OPENING DAY OF THE NEW SEASON JANUARY 1ST AND 5 RUNNERS ON jANUARY 4TH.

Race 1 the 1000m Poly Class 5 $30k sees Ko Olina start from barrier 6 ridden by Mark Lerner. The 4 Year Old Pins mare is raced by Twenty One Racing Stable. Has had 6 starts for 0-2-0 and ran second on 11th August and fourth on Sept 20. Has had surgery and has recovered well and has been working up well. Has had a recent shoe change. Don't be surprised to see her get some of this. Handy field with the likes of JK Formidable and Classified sure to feature.

Race 2 the 1200m Poly $75k Restricted Maiden sees The Brotherhood start from barrier 8 ridden by Mark Lerner. The 3 Year Old So You Think gelding is raced by the B Two Stable and is developing into a very nice horse.  We are hoping he can break Maiden ranks here. The extra distance will help and apart from unknown The Wild Bunch on debut , the field doesn't look strong. Hopefully favourite players will be rewarded.

Race 3 the 1600m Poly $30k Class 5 sees Giant Killing start from barrier 1 ridden by Simon Kok. The 4 Year Old Jet Spur gelding is raced by Twenty One Racing Stable. He has had 17 starts for 0-0-2. Has the Ace draw and in form Claiming Jockey and may take some running down. Hopefully a good day for Twenty One Racing Stable. A few good types like Yulong Holy Flying with Duric on and Scooter will give a sight.

Race 5 the 1200m Poly Maiden $20k Maiden sees Invisible start from barrier 8 ridden by Simon Kok. The 3 Year Old Mission Impazible gelding is raced by Falcon Racing No 7 Stable. Has had 7 starts for 0-0-0 . Is new to the Stable so we don't have a real line on him yet, but has been working well and has had excuses, running  into trouble in most of his last few starts.  Afalonhro will be favourite and hard to beat.

Race 7 the 1600m Poly Class 5 $30k sees Champagne Finale start from barrier 5 ridden by Simon Kok. The 4 Year Old All Too Hard gelding is raced by Eden Park Racing Stable . Went far too hard with Duric on last start and at Class 5 can hopefully get some of this. Last start winner Gold Kingdom will be hard to beat.

Bounceback Ability starts in the same race from barrier 4 ridden by Alysha Collett. The 5 Year Old Pour Moi gelding is raced by Tsuyoshi Kuroiwa and has had 16 starts for 1-0-1. Stable Rider is confident and has been working well enough to feature.

Race 11 the 1000m Poly Class 4 $50k sees Super Posh start from barrier 7 ridden by Simon Kok. The 4 Year Old Super Easy gelding is raced by Super Posh Stable and has had 13 starts for 3-2-1.  An interesting race with horses like Well Deserved who bolted in last start but is up in Class, Cousteau will give a sight with Duric on and the newcomer Surge. Super Posh has an in  form Jockey claiming 2kg and should be a good first 3 chance here.

Results

Tough day at the office with all our horses finding the Resurfaced Poly track too deep. Tons of new sand put on the track over the break resulted in many of Wednesdays runners finding the going heavy. Slow times and suited only a few horses.

R1 Ko OLina 4th, Went forward , led at the turn, came to the end of it at the 50m mark. Will improve out of this.

R2 The Brotherhood 4th, Jumped in at the start and was bumped, Raced wide without cover, strong to the line and had done too much. Found the track too heavy. Will improve.

R4 Giant Killing 5th, another that struggled in the conditions and will improve.

R5 Invisible , 4th , Last to the turn and came home strongly out wide. Another that will improve.

R7 Champagne Finale , 8th , Raced too keenly in the lead and didn't finish off in the heavy sand. Will improve.

R7 Bounceback Ability , 10th, didn't like the track.

R11 Super Posh, 7th, led to the 250m and came to the end of it in the heavy sand. Will improve.

Singapore Saturday 4th January

R4 sees Qiji Flyer start from barrier 1 ridden by Daniel Moore. The 4 Year Old Dawn Approach gelding is raced by Logan Racing Stable   . Hopefully he handles the track.

Colour Paint also starts in R4 and will jump from barrier 3 with Alysha Collett. The 5 Year Old Zizou gelding is raced by Foong Racing Stable. Is new to the Stable and another that we hope copes with the track.

R7 sees Glorious Victory start from barrier 9 ridden by Vlad Duric . The 3 Year Old Olympic Glory gelding is raced by Eden Park/Donna Logan. Hasn't shown much so far and another that is an unknown in the heavy sand.

R10 sees Good Luck Charm start from barrier 6 ridden by Alysha Collett. The 4 Year Old The Factor is raced by Falcon Racing No 8. Last start winner  who will hopefully hold his form in the conditions.
