Logan Racing / Wednesday, 19 February 2020 / Categories: Uncategorized Avondale Cup washup Well the simple fact of the matter from last Saturday's Avondale Cup is that neither horse had much luck. We never like to give excuses but i think that they both should have finished a lot closer. Dragon Storm was caught 3 wide from the outset (drew 16) and made two or three runs in the race, he battled on well to finish not far from the winner. As for Final Suggestion, he slipped badly at the start and lost all chance. He got back a few lengths behind the second last horse and made some quiet ground late. He ran the 6th fastest last 600m which was good for a horse running in that grade. The good thing is that they both came through their runs very well and will run on Derby Day at Ellerlsie.
