LOGAN RACING SINGAPORE HAVE 10 STARTERS ON SATURDAY 17TH OCTOBER
Race 1 the Class 5 Turf 1400m Short Course $30k sees Storm To Win start from barrier 10 ridden by CC Wong. The 5 year old Storm Creek gelding is raced by Donna Logan and Michael Pereira and has had 13 starts for 1-2-2. Sept 12th he ran in a Class 5 Turf 1400m , dropped back of middle and came home strongly to run second to stable mate Champagne Finale. Drew 13 that day and was ridden by yusoff claiming weight. Drawn out at 10 with a bit more weight but certainly a chance to place in this.
Tended to lay in and Wong had to change the stick to the other hand. Finished a creditable 5th and still due a win.
Race 3 the Class 4 Poly 1000m $50k sees Good Luck Charm start from barrier 6 ridden by K Hakim claiming 3 kg. The 5 year old The Factor gelding is raced by Falcon No 8 Stable and has had 16 starts for 2-3-3. Has run 2 seconds and won once in his last 3 starts. Up in Class and found Class 4 a bit tough last start. Claim will help and still a chance to get some of this. Impressive win in a slick time of 0.58.92
Race 4 the Open Maiden Turf 1400m Short Course $20k sees Dawnbreaker start ridden by R Munger from barrier 8. The 4 year old Dawn Approach gelding has had 3 unplaced starts and is raced by Donna Logan. Ran an ok 5th on 19th September in a Poly 1200m Open Maiden. First start on the Turf and over more ground we hope he can rise to the occasion. Caught wide and didn't finish off
Qiji Star also starts and is ridden by K Hakim from barrier 14 claiming 3 kg. The 4 year old Star Witness gelding has had 6 starts for 0-0-1 and is raced by the Qiji Star Stable. Last start in a 1200m Poly he was very wide , dropped to 5th , 3 wide and came home pretty well. First time on the Turf and over more ground. Would love to see this horse put his foot in the til. Tough barrier. Blocked for room in the finishing stages. OK run for 4th. Will improve.
Race 5 the 1700m Class 5 Poly sees Official start from barrier 3 ridden by K Hakim. The 5 year old The Factor gelding has had 19 starts for 1-1-2 and is raced by Falcon No 7 Stable. Won a Class 5 1700m on the Poly in July 2019 under a very vigourous ride by V Duric. A bit disappointing last start on August 8th but all the rain lately has been affecting the Poly on occasion. Good claiming jockey with a good draw so hoping for a decent run. Another impressive winner.
Hostwin Chevalier also starts and is ridden by T Krisna claiming 2kg from barrier 12. The 5 year old Charge Forward gelding has had 14 starts for no result. Step up in distance and needs to show something. Dissapointed
Race 6 sees Qiji Love start from barrier 7 ridden by T Krisna claiming 2 kg in the Open Maiden 1200m Poly $20k . The 4 year old Dissident gelding has had 3 unplaced starts . Another that needs to show something. Another that disappointed
Race 8 the 1400m Turf Short Course Class 5 $30k sees Giant Killing start from barrier 11 ridden by JP VD Merwe. The 5 year old Jet Spur gelding has had 22 starts for 1-0-3 and is raced by Twenty One Racing Stable. Last start on 12th September he ran 6th in a 1400m Turf race. Was an ok run with not much room on a testing, yeilding track. Nice run, caught wide at the turn , finished 5th , only a length from the winner
Race 11 the Class 4 Poly 1000m $50k sees Gamely start from barrier 10 ridden by K Hakim claiming 3 kg. The 5 year old Golden Archer gelding is raced by Falcon No 7 Stable and has had 27 starts for 2-8-7. Won a 1200m Poly on 23rd August and then unplaced on September 12th on a wet Poly track and pulled up lame off fore. Not the greatest draw but does have weight releif and always tries hard. OK run for 7th. Needs 1200m.
Super Posh also starts and is ridden by JP VD Merwe from barrier 7. The 5 year old Super Easy gelding has had 21 starts for 3-2-3. Has to be some chance here. Trailed leader and finished a nice second . Great to see him back in form.
